Army Ten-Miler for Fisher House Foundation Opportunity
If you happen to be shoring up your calendars for this fall, don’t forget to the add the 32nd Annual Army Ten-Miler (ATM) Run that is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 9, beginning at 8:00 a.m. EST in Washington, DC in the Pentagon South Lot. This race helps to support the Fisher House Foundation which provides military families housing close to their military loved one that has been hospitalized due to an illness disease or injury.
Last year, seven team members from Sevan Multi-Site Solutions took part in the run. These individuals included: Jim Evans, Angelia Pool, Scott Poole, Michael Simone, Chris Southers, Kent Stoneburner and Griff Williamson (Past Employee). Together they raised over $7,500 in support of this very worthwhile charity. In fact, the Sevan Team raised the largest donation for that event.
As most of you are likely aware, Sevan was built by several former military leaders and is a certified Veteran-Owned Small Business. Thanks to their love of country, they not only have helped to establish our freedom, but are now leaders in the management and construction world; visionaries desiring to be the best and provide the best for each of their employees.
By promoting the philanthropic portion of Sevan, the hope is that more and more of our team members will want to exert efforts in a similar fashion. We hope to encourage others to promote various benefits and communicate these generous deeds so as to encourage fellow associates to become involved. Make this weekend a small vacation and apply it toward your paid day off Sevan offers for your contribution to this effort.
