Fisher House Foundation: Army Ten-Miler Run

The ‘Sevan Veterans’ team efforts resulted in a donation of $4,425 to the Fisher House Foundation, helping to directly impact the lives of military families.

Sevan offered an all-expense paid trip to staff members who agreed to accept the challenge to be a runner and raise the funds for the Fisher House Foundation. Sevan’s ongoing commitment to Veterans and Military Families means we plan on running in the Army Ten Miler again this year with an even larger team than in 2014. Please mark your calendars and consider the Army Ten-Miler/Fisher House Foundation for your 2015 bucket list – race date is October 11.

Runners included: Jim Evans, President of Sevan; Ron Deffenbaugh, VP; Chris Souther, Sevan Board Member; Chuck Meisel, friend of Sevan; and Meghan Connor, Project Coordinator.

Celebrating 25 Years of Service

The Fisher House Foundation, celebrating 25 years of service, is best known for its network of housing where military and veteran families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. These nationwide homes are located at major military and VA medical centers close to the medical center or hospital they serve.

Sevan’s core value of charity helped motivate five staff members to participate in the 2014 Army Ten-Miler held in Washington D.C., in support of the Fisher House Foundation. Over the span of five hours, our ‘Sevan Veterans’ team met the challenge, running ten miles through the historic National Capitol Region.

The 2014 race attracted over 26,300 participants.
