The mission of The Sevan Charitable Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the communities where our team members and partners live and serve by making an impact in three core areas:
- Educational Development
- Humanitarian Relief
“We’re proud and excited to announce our first two major contributions of $25,000 each to Ronald McDonald House Charities and The Fisher House Foundation,” says Jim Evans, President & CEO of Sevan. “We are delighted to support our client McDonald’s in their work to keep families with sick children together and near the care and resources they need. Further, as a certified Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that includes Veterans who have served in every branch of the U.S. military, we’re also delighted to help Fisher House build comfort homes where military and veterans families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital.”
The Sevan Charitable Foundation was funded by an initial endowment of $250,000 from Sevan Multi-Site Solutions. “The Sevan Charitable Foundation is a powerful expression of our company value of Charity. Our goal is to raise $1 million by end of 2019,” says Ron Deffenbaugh, Chief Training Officer and Vice Chair of The Sevan Charitable Foundation. “Going forward, Sevan will continue to look for ways to support the good works of our clients, partners, and team members.”
The Sevan Charitable Foundation is just one of many ways Sevan lives up to its commitment to the value of Charity:
- This past year, Sevan Humanitarian Relief teams were instrumental in setting up emergency Walgreens pharmacies in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria, literally saving thousands of lives. In addition, employees donated money and raised funds to help in the disaster relief, with the company matching employee donations. The effort raised over $20,000 for Direct Relief.
- Sevan provides a paid Charitable Day Off each year so team members can lend a hand to food drives, toy drives, blood drives and more, increasing our community involvement within the cities where we live and work.
