Sevan Named One of 2018 Best Medium Workplaces by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

Downers Grove, IL – Sevan Multi-Site Solutions, LLC (Sevan) has been named one of the 100 Best Medium Workplaces by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE, ranking #29 on the list. Great Place to Work (GPTW) analyzed anonymous feedback from more than 158,000 US employees answering over 60 survey questions. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees themselves say about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential. GPTW also assessed employees’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders. Sevan has been recognized as a Great Place to Work for 5 consecutive years.

“We’re excited and humbled to be named one of the Best Medium Workplaces in the country,” says Jim Evans, President & CEO of Sevan. “When we were first recognized as an Employee-Rated Great Place to Work in 2014, we had fewer than 70 team members. We’ll surpass 500 people by the end of this year. The huge growth in team, clients, and revenue is proof that our founding philosophy of putting our people first pays off. When we take care of our team, they take care of our fantastic customers.

Sevan offers great benefits like health insurance, educational assistance, and job-protected parental leave, plus unlimited paid time off and flexible work schedules. Our Mentor Program and Leadership Class give our team members the tools and training they need to succeed in the workplace and in life. Sevan also supports team members by providing paid time off for charitable service days and matching contributions to support their charitable donations. Evans adds: “That’s on top of $139,000 in 2018 contributions to about a dozen charities, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Fisher House Foundation, the National Forest Foundation, The Morton Arboretum, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.”

The Best Small & Medium Workplaces stand out for excelling in today’s competitive hiring marketplace. For example, when Sevan moved into our new Downers Grove HQ office space, we introduced perks like a ping pong table, daily fresh fruit, bottled water, soft drinks, craft beers, and a coffee service that features a top-of-the-line espresso machine. Evans notes one of the biggest perks for 2018: “We celebrated our 7th anniversary by holding our company meeting aboard the Royal Caribbean “Majesty of the Seas” cruise liner to the Bahamas. It was a great way for our growing company to get to know each other better, have lots of fun, and get in a little quality planning time.”

“When it comes to revenue growth and innovation, the 2018 Best Small & Medium Workplaces continue to outperform their peers making these companies more competitive and helping them secure their position in the marketplace,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “What these companies do differently than their peers is that they offer a great workplace for all employees, regardless of role or personal traits”.

To determine the Best Small & Medium Workplaces, GPTW analyzed anonymous survey feedback representing more than 158,000 US employees.

Employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a Great Place to Work For All™. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees themselves say about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. GPTW analyzes these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical in their industry and region.

GPTW also assesses all employees’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure they’re consistently experienced.

To ensure survey results truly represent all employees, Great Place to Work requires that Trust Index© survey results are accurate to a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error or better. They review any anomalies in survey responses, news and financial performance to ensure there aren’t any extraordinary reasons to believe they couldn’t trust a company’s survey results. Companies with 10 to 99 people are considered for the small workplace list; companies with 100 to 999 employees are considered for the medium list.

The Best Small & Medium Workplaces list is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations.
