BRR Architecture was contracted by a major retailer to remodel and build a warehouse facility in California. They needed help with the zoning and permitting process. In addition to needing the appropriate permits, BRR needed help navigating the permit approval process during a pandemic in LA county, which has notoriously long permit wait times due to vast number of yearly requests
Sevan’s civil zoning and permitting team was able to utilize prior relationships with members of the LA county permitting department to make sure each appropriate permitting request was moving along in a timely manner. Sevan was also able to work with LA county to understand all the permits that would be necessary to obtain based on the scope of the project to help accelerate BRR’s planning phase timeline.
Sevan was able to secure all the appropriate permits in two phases. Building, electrical and fire permits were included in the original scope of work, which Sevan was able to secure in 8 months. The scope of the project expanded to include the use of industrial storage racks which required a special permit that Sevan was also able to obtain in 8 months.
